This mother’s experience with Lifesteps began when she was pregnant with her fourth child and enrolled in Lifesteps Maternal Health Program in July 2023. At the time, she faced overwhelming challenges as a single mom raising three children with little family support. Her worries were immense: financial struggles, unstable housing, inadequate clothing, limited food, and unreliable transportation. She also had concerns about employment and paying for utilities, which compounded her stress and fear.
A Lifesteps Maternal Health Specialist stepped in, assessing the family’s needs to create a plan that addressed the most urgent issues. Through consistent guidance and unwavering support, Lifesteps Maternal Health Specialist provided not only resources but emotional encouragement.

The mother ultimately secured stable housing and now proudly owns her home.
