Early Care & Education Council

Week of the Young Child

Children benefit when community agencies and families come together to support learning and development! To help support collaboration and community awareness, the Butler County Early Care and Education Council annually sponsors the Week of the Young Child. This collection of events centering on young children and their families features free resources from many local agencies. Kids can enjoy fun activities centering on the year’s theme while parents can learn how to support their child’s development and prepare him or her for school success. The Week of the Young Child is held every April at a variety of times and Butler-based locations to accommodate parents’ busy schedules.

2022’s Week of the Young Child event will be a Virtual Early Learning Experience. The theme for this year is “Exploring Our Colorful Feelings”. Every family will receive an activity bag with a free copy of  “Happy-Sad Today” (while supplies last).

For more information, call the Butler County Early Care & Education Council Coordinator at 724-283-1010 ex. 310.

Families can pre-register for this virtual event between
April 2 and April 8, 2022 at butlerlibrary.beanstack.org
